Cerall is a biological seed dressing that protects seeds against fungal diseases and supports growth and development of young cereal plants up to the five-leaf stage. Suitable for organic and conventional cultivation. Cerall treatment can be combined with other seed treatments.
Diseases
Several types of seed-borne fungal diseases such as Fusarium spp., common bunt (Tilletia caries) and leaf spot disease (Septoria nodorum).
Crops
Spring and winter wheat, rye and triticale.
How it works
Mode of action
The bacteria Pseudomonas chlororaphis, present in Cerall, multiply on the seed and compete with pathogens attached to the seed. The bacteria produce substances that have a lethal effect on the fungal diseases on the seed. After sowing, the Pseudomonas bacteria continue to multiply. On the roots of the crop, the growing bacteria compete with the pathogens for space and nutrients, inhibiting pathogen development and thus protecting the roots and the plant. The bacterium induces systemic resistance, this strongly increases the defense capacity of the young plants. Growth is especially promoted under stress conditions.

Directions for use
Preparation
Seed treatment equipment must be thoroughly cleaned with hot water and a suitable detergent before and after applying Cerall.
Application
Wear appropriate protective clothing. Cerall is offered as a ready-to-use suspension concentrate and must be distributed as evenly as possible on the seed. Regular seed treatment equipment can be used to apply on the seed.
Dosage
- Apply preventively at a rate of 10 ml/kg of seed

Timing
Apply Cerall before sowing of seeds.
Environmental conditions
Cerall performs best at 14-26°C/57-79°F.
Compatibility
Do not mix Cerall with other seed treatment products.
Notes
Treated seeds can be stored up till 1 year after application without any loss of effect.
