General information

Vitix® is a biostimulant, which is applied to soil and growing media to correct and maintain soil health and support plant growth and crop productivity.

Vitix® is a soil and compost inoculant. The main active components consist of a mix of beneficial microorganisms, humic substances and seaweed extracts. Applied as a drench to produce a nutrient-enriched substrate inoculated with beneficial microorganisms. This supports the germination and proliferation of the applied microbes and creates a healthier rooting environment to support crop growth.

The establishment and maintenance of a diverse and active root system plays an important role in the development of plant health and crop resilience.

Formulation and active ingredients

Vitix® is a water-dispersible granule formulation containing 25% humic substances, 35% w/w beneficial microorganisms and 40% w/w seaweed extracts. The microorganism composition can be divided into mycorrhizae (100 propagules/g), Trichoderma spp. (> 5 x 108 CFU/g) and Bacillus spp. (> 5 x 108 CFU/g).

How to use Vitix?

Application:

Vitix® should be applied in a sufficient water volume to achieve the recommended rate of application across the cropping area and reach the root zone where microbial activity is required. The soil or growing media must be moist when Vitix® is applied.

This product operates over a pH range of 4-8 and at temperatures between 10-34oC.

Preparation of solution:

Pre-mix the product with water in a ratio of 1:5 (w/v) by stirring the mix until the product disperses in solution. Add more water if necessary to achieve the required volume. The solution can be applied as a drench using a range of application methods and equipment. These include the use of motorised and knapsack sprayers. The product can also be applied through a dosing system via drip lines or seep tape. Do not allow the solution to pass through sand filters, as this will remove the active components of the product. After application, thoroughly wash all equipment and flush through with clean water.

Vitix® can be co-applied with diluted fertiliser solutions

Crops and rates of use

Applied to a wide range crops growing in peat-based media and soils, in protected and outdoor situations.

General rates of application

Plant propagation 0.5 kg/ha
Transplanting / re-potting  1 - 1.5 kg/ha
Crop production 1 - 1.5 kg/ha
